    • YES, Bill Cosby did come to the LeRoy Jell-O Gallery !!!!
    • .

There was a "happening" on June 8, 2004. Bill Cosby and an entourage were at the Jell-O Gallery to open a NEW exhibit that highlights Bill's thirty year association with a dessert he loves. As Bill said, "I ate and loved Jell-O even before they started paying me."

This picture was taken during his delightful speech. He first declared himself "Mayor" of LeRoy for the day. Asked if he would return to LeRoy any time soon, he said, as he slowly looked around the grounds and up to the LeRoy House, "I am considering staying the summer". Joking aside, This was a fun morning and LeRoy welcomes him back any time.

      .

The LeRoy Wolcott Street School's fourth graders came to seranade Bill with a song they composed. He was impressed. In fact, he had his picture taken with groups of the singers and personally shook hands with each individual child.

Bill opened the NEW Jell-O Gallery exhibt that not only shows his association with Jell-O over the years; but also television ads featuring Kate Smith, Jack Benny, Lucille Ball and others from the 50's through the 70's.

There are many more pictures of Bill Cosby and children on the page called "Jell-O PICTURES" see below.

    • Each fall and spring a Chicken Bar B-Q is held in LeRoy at Trigon Park, across from the LeRoy Historical Society House. The fall effort is to help with the winter heating bills, the spring effort is for the summer cooling bills. Both have been quite successful for sveral years.

    • Watch for the Chicken Bar B-Q sign on Trigon Park for the time and date of our NEXT event..... Thank you for your support.
